What is the minimum age to use Lyra?
Lyra is designed for children aged 6 to 12. The app requires an adult guardian to create the account and set up the child's profile before first use.
What is the daily message quota on the free plan?
On the free plan, each child profile can send up to 20 messages per day. On the Lyra Family plan, messages are unlimited.
How does Lyra ensure content safety for my child?
Lyra uses multiple layers of safety: inappropriate content filters, real-time automatic moderation, and parental monitoring. Parents have access to reports of all conversations and can configure allowed topics and blocked words directly in the control panel.
What plans are available and how much do they cost?
We offer two plans: Free (1 profile, 20 messages/day, forever with no credit card) and Lyra Family at $5.99/month or $39/year (up to 4 profiles, unlimited messages, 7-day free trial). No ads on any plan.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel at any time directly in the app under Settings → Subscription, or through your device's store (App Store or Google Play). Access to the Family plan remains active until the end of the paid period.
Is Lyra available in languages other than Portuguese?
Yes! Lyra responds in both Portuguese (PT-BR) and English. The language is configured in the child's profile by the guardian.
How does Lyra protect my child's data privacy?
We comply with LGPD (Brazil's General Data Protection Law) and children's privacy guidelines. We don't sell data, don't show ads, and conversations are encrypted. Children's data is never used to train third-party AI models. Guardians can request complete data deletion at any time.
Can Lyra be used on multiple devices?
Yes. Each child profile can be used on any iOS or Android device with the guardian's account logged in. On the Lyra Family plan, you can have up to 4 distinct child profiles.
